A lot of uptempo rowdy fun with a few salutes to classic country.
NOTES
Oklahoma born and bred, Kenioun Cooper likes that rowdy country sound and rattles off lyrics like a machine gun. He can sing a tearjerker too and covers the bases of modern and classic Country & Western music. A product of church choirs, he was first exposed to gospel music through his great Aunt Iva Lee, a holy-roller pastor with a radio show. A Methodist youth minister, Kenioun felt certain that his poor aunt would go to hell for such disrespectful music playing in the House of the Lord and his occasional reprimands to her only brought peals of laughter from a preacher with a church full of electric guitars and tambourines.

A teen Christmas present of a Sears Silverstone electric altered his perceptions. And the lousy action on the guitar built iron calluses on his fingertips. But over the years, he traded up to a Les Paul and Takamine, both a joy to play by comparison. Kenioun started singing professionally in the rock musical Hair, playing at the New Locust in Philadelphia with pal Danny Beard, later of the 5th Dimension.

Moving into acting, he joined The Groundlings, an LA improv company and in the company song class learned he had a gift for writing songs. After all, once you learn to make them up on the spot, it's pretty easy when you have the whole day. Seeking financial security, he found his way into the voiceover world and worked in sound studios for decades recording promos, commercials, and narrations.

Joined forces with Producer/Arranger Frank Starchak, recording began on Wyoming Ring in late 2012 and the album was recently completed, all legal papers in order, cover shots taken and time to let if fly.
